#20 - The Wisdom of Letting Go

There are songs that hold you — quietly, like a hand on your shoulder when you have no words left. Let It Be is one of those songs.

“When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom: Let it be.”

The first time I really heard that line,  I wasn’t trying to understand it.
I was just… tired.
Tired of fixing. Tired of forcing. Tired of carrying things that I didn’t want to be carried anymore.

And then the lyrics gently whispered:

Let it be.

Not fight it.
Not solve it.
Not make it perfect.

Just… let it be.

We live in a world that glorifies control.

Plan your day. Optimize your time. Hit your goals. Fix the bug. Save the relationship.
We’re taught to intervene, to push, to do something.

But sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do , is to let go.

Let the silence stay.
Let the moment pass.
Let the answer come when it’s ready,  not when you demand it.

“Let it be” isn’t giving up.
It’s learning to trust that not everything needs your hands on it.

There’s a kind of maturity that only comes when you stop trying to control the storm, and instead… learn to find peace within it.

That’s what this song taught me.

It’s not passive.
It’s not weak.
It’s wise.

Because not every problem has a solution.
Not every goodbye is a failure.
Not every slow season means you’re falling behind.

Sometimes, life pauses — not to punish you — but to teach you patience.

“There will be an answer. Let it be.”

That line holds a kind of quiet faith.
A belief that clarity will come, but maybe not today.
That healing takes time.
That some questions are meant to stay unanswered,  for now.

We’re so used to noise. So used to solving.
But there’s a strength in waiting.
There’s a beauty in surrender.

So if you’re in a season of uncertainty, confusion, or change —
Maybe you don’t need another plan.
Maybe you just need to breathe.

To sit with the discomfort.
To stop resisting the unknown.
And to tell yourself, softly but firmly:
Let it be.
